The District Judges at Aldershot recognise that the new Practice Direction 27 requires bundles to be provided in all Family cases in which parties are represented imposes a significant demand on the resources of Solicitors (and additional cost for their clients).
In cases with a short time estimate the limited benefit for the court is outweighed by the cost for the parties.
As a result the District Judges have decided that they will NOT expect bundles to be filed in cases with a time estimate of less than 90 minutes unless a
specific direction is made requesting a bundle to be provided.
This notice ONLY applies to cases at Aldershot and Farnham. Practitioners should assume that the Practice Direction is being applied at all other Courts unless they receive specific notification.
All Practitioners are reminded that as a result of the implementation of the Court reforms on the 22nd April 2014 this is now a Single County Court for England and Wales and a Single Family Court. Aldershot and Farnham County Court no longer exists. Family orders should therefore be headed "In the Family Court sitting at Aldershot". Any orders received
after 1st June 2014 headed Aldershot and Farnham County Court may therefore be returned for redrafting.
